Hello everyone and welcome back to the final blog of this 7-part series. In my previous blog post, I wrote about paid search advertising. I spoke in great detail about its benefits along with my recommended platform to use for such services. Make sure to check that out for some insightful information. For this week’s blog post, I will be talking about Google Ads, however this time I will be talking about display advertising. I will discuss the significance of this tool along with different tips and strategies on how to effectively use it for your business. With all that being said, let’s dive right into this week’s topic.
What is Display Advertising?
Display advertising is a type of online advertising that involves placing banner ads on other websites. Similar to paid search advertising, Google Ads is the most popular platform for display advertising.
Display advertising is an effective way to increase brand awareness and drive traffic to your website. When someone visits a website that is part of the Google Ads network, your ad will appear on the page, giving you an opportunity to grab their attention and entice them to visit your site.

Knowing your Audience is Key to Successful Advertising
One of the biggest advantages of display advertising is its targeting capabilities. As I spoke in the previous article, Google Ads allows you to target your ads to specific demographics, locations, and interests to reach the right people with the right message. This means you can design your ads to be highly relevant to your target audience, which can increase the chances of them clicking on your ad and checking out your website.
Display Ads Can Be Easily Changed
Another advantage of display advertising is its flexibility. Unlike other forms of advertising, such as print or TV ads, display ads can be easily changed and updated. This allows you to quickly test different ad creatives and messaging to see what works best and it allows you to make adjustments to your campaign in real time.
Best Platform to Use
In order to effectively use display advertising, I recommend using Google Ads and just like paid search advertising, you will need to create a campaign and so on. You then move on to choosing the websites where you want your ads to appear, creating ad groups, and designing banner ads that are eye-catching and relevant to your target audience. You will also need to set a budget for your campaign and choose how much you are willing to pay per click or just pay per thousand impressions.
Once your campaign is up and running, you can use Google Ads’ analytics tools to track the performance of your ads and make any necessary adjustments to optimize your campaign. This can include testing different ad sizes and formats, adjusting your bid amounts, and targeting different demographics or locations.
In conclusion, similar to paid search advertising, display advertising is a powerful tool for increasing brand awareness and driving traffic to your website. I would highly recommend using this tool if you are looking to grow your business.
